My young friend, Ashley, asked me to take her engagement photographs and then convinced me to shoot her wedding a few months later. I was not doing professional shoots at the time–I had stopped years ago and was simply doing freelance work. However, Ashley insisted she did would not have anyone but me taking the photos. So, I ‘came out of retirement’ and started up my new business, CCW Digital Artistry, with this shoot. I will be forever grateful to Ashley for pursuing me and encouraging me. She is so photogenic, it’s hard not to be happy and we tried some really fun stuff at Trail Dust Town in East Tucson. This were taken back in 2010 and most were processed with an old program I had at the time. In recent years, I have re-processed some of them with Lightroom (my preferred post-processing application) and then applied my brand watermark, which was developed after these were taken. Some are still in the original style, just with the watermark applied. It’s interesting to see how my style of photography has morphed since then, along with my processing tastes. It’s always fun to re-visit good times.
